Tnt To Offer E-Invoices With Digital Signature - Tnt’S Time And Money Saving 'Express Invoicing' Also Protects Against Unautho

Amsterdam, TNT announces it will offer secured electronic invoices with digital signature in over 30 countries by the end of March 2008. Called 'Express Invoicing', the new service will be available for customers in most European countries, Australia, Singapore, Hong-Kong, South Africa, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. TNT’s web-based e-invoicing solution is free of charge. TNT already offers e-invoices in 37 countries around the world, with another ten countries preparing to introduce the paperless invoice this year. Avnet Electronics Marketing And Alps Electric Ink Global Distribution Pact

Ryder Reports Fourth Quarter 2007 Results and Provides 2008 Forecast

Fourth Quarter GAAP EPS of $1.24, Includes $0.06 Tax Benefit--

MIAMI, FL, Feb 01, 2008 -- Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R), a global leader in transportation and Supply Chain Management solutions, today reported earnings per diluted share (EPS) were $1.24 for the three-month period ended December 31, 2007, up 15% from EPS of $1.08 in the year-earlier period. Net earnings for the fourth quarter were $71.9 million, up 9% from $65.8 million in the year-earlier period. EPS and net earnings in the current period included a benefit of $0.06 and $3.6 million, respectively, related primarily to changes in Canadian income tax laws. Excluding the benefit, EPS for the fourth quarter were up 9% to $1.18 and net earnings were up 4% to $68.3 million. EPS growth exceeded earnings growth due to a decrease in the average number of shares outstanding, reflecting the impact of share repurchases. Improved contractual business performance as well as lower operating costs more than offset lower volumes in the Company's commercial rental business related to soft marketplace demand. All business segments reported improved revenue and earnings results.


YRC Worldwide Reports Fourth Quarter and Full-Year 2007 Earnings

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- YRC Worldwide Inc. (Nasdaq: YRCW) today announced diluted earnings per share ("EPS") for the full year 2007 of $1.88, excluding previously announced impairment charges of $12.77 per share, reorganization and settlement costs of $.24 per share, Technology charges of $.11 per share and gains on property disposals of $.07 per share. When including these items, full-year 2007 results were a loss per share of $11.17 compared to EPS of $4.74 in 2006.

For the fourth quarter, EPS was $.01 when excluding the impairment charges of $12.88 per share, reorganization costs of $.09 per share, Technology charges of $.11 per share and gains on property disposals of $.08 per share. When including these items, the fourth quarter was a loss of $12.99 per share compared to EPS of $.80 per share in the fourth quarter of 2006.

UPS Adopts New Financial Policy to Enhance Shareholder Value

Atlanta, Jan. 9, 2008 - UPS (NYSE: UPS) today announced its Board of Directors has approved a change in financial policy regarding the company's capital structure designed to enhance UPS's value to shareowners. Under the new policy, UPS intends to significantly increase the debt component of its balance sheet.

Going forward, the company intends to manage its balance sheet to a target debt ratio within a range of 50-to-60% funds-from-operations-to-total-debt. Previously, there was no stated metric.

Dhl Demands Prepayment Of Us$93 Million Note From Abx Air

OHIO-BASED cargo airline, ABX Air Inc, the primary provider of domestic airlift to DHL in the US, is being ordered by the express package delivery giant to prepay a US$93 million note.

The DHL demand was made on the contention that ABX Air's recent acquisition of Cargo Holdings International Inc. constituted a "change of control" of ABX Air under the terms of the note, reports the Cincinnati Business Courier. It said the note was issued as part of DHL's spin-off of ABX Air in August 2003.

However, ABX Air is disputing DHL's demand, saying in a recent filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission that in the company's opinion a change of control has not taken place.

Schenker completes takeover of Spain-TIR

Deutsche Bahn subsidiary Schenker today completed its takeover of the Spanish Logistics group Spain-TIR.

The contract of purchase was signed as long ago as August 2, 2007, but it was only last week that the official authorization, without which the acquisition could not become a reality, was granted by the authorities.

This takeover makes it possible for Schenker to continue expanding its European land transport network, especially on the Iberian Peninsula.


UPS Expands "Green Fleet" with 306 Alternative Fuel Vehicles

ATLANTA, Oct. 8, 2007 - UPS (NYSE:UPS) today announced it was adding 306 alternative fuel vehicles to its "green fleet" by placing an order for 167 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) delivery trucks while taking delivery of 139 new propane delivery trucks in North America. Additionally, the company has launched an initiative to use biodiesel fuel in its ground support vehicles at the UPS Worldport® air hub in Louisville.

The CNG trucks will be deployed early next year in Dallas, Atlanta and four California cities - Los Angeles, Ontario, San Ramon and Fresno. They will join more than 800 such vehicles already in use in the United States. The propane vehicles are joining nearly 600 propane trucks already operating in Canada and Mexico.
