Kuehne + Nagel wins contract with House of Fraser

London/UK, – Commencing in February 2007, Kuehne + Nagel has won a contract with House of Fraser to carry out its home delivery services for made-to-order furniture.
Under the terms of the contract the leading global Logistics provider will take care of warehousing and around 30,000 deliveries per year to consumers across the UK and Ireland.
The two companies are working closely together to increase the efficiency of House of Fraser’s current home service systems. A closer alignment of order to delivery time will allow House of Fraser to make cost savings through reduced inventory, and thus create a leaner supply chain. This will be supported by Kuehne + Nagel’s award winning IT and booking processes. The House of Fraser business will be incorporated into Kuehne + Nagel’s dedicated furniture distribution network, which is already used by other major furniture retailers in the UK for more than 175,000 home deliveries each year.
