UCA for Shipping Instructions drives efficiency and standardization in the global shipping industry

Parsippany, NJ, INTTRA today announced the roll-out of Universal Carrier Access for INTTRA-Link customers (UCA Link), which will bring increased efficiencies for shippers, forwarders and their carriers around the world. This roll-out follows the successful launch of UCA for INTTRA Desktop customers last September.

APL Announces New Cooperation in U.S.-South America Trade

Assures continuity of service to East Coast
Miami, - Global container shipping line APL announced today a new cooperation with Mediterranean Shipping Company and Mitsui OSK to take effect in April of 2007. This cooperation will allow continuity of product quality and scope of coverage from the U.S. East Coast to the East Coast South America.

The service will offer weekly calls in Norfolk, Philadelphia, New York and Baltimore in the U.S., and Santos, Buenos Aires, Rio Grande, Sao Francisco do Sul, and Salvador on the east coast of South America.

Parallel with the start of this new cooperation, APL will discontinue the existing cooperation with Maersk Line on the NASA service which will exit the trade after its last sailing from Santos on April 14th. APL will also discontinue its existing cooperation with Hamburg Sud on the Tango service with a final sailing from Suape on April 12th.

INTTRA Announces New Offices and Expanded Presence in China

Shanghai and Hong Kong, China, - Due to significant growth in demand for multi-carrier e-commerce, INTTRA has opened new offices in Qingdao, Shenzhen and Xiamen.

Now, our growth warrants additional customer support and service in Qingdao and Xiamen, particularly as we introduce new Desktop software to enable cargo agents to create and submit electronic shipping orders and shipping instructions.”


GAC and Alstons Shipping extend agency network to Trinidad

Trinidad & Tobago has become the latest country to join GAC’s Shipping global agency network, with the signing of an alliance agreement with Alstons Shipping Limited. This latest expansion completes GAC’s coverage of all ports in the region, including the Caribbean.

The GAC-Alstons alliance combines the global connections and best practices of the GAC Group with Alstons Shipping’s 102 years of maritime experience in Trinidad & Tobago, the Caribbean and surrounding islands.

INTTRA Alliance with China Ocean Shipping Agency Creates Boom in E-Commerce Growth in China

Antwerp Port Authority Selects IBM's Maximo Asset Management Software to Manage and Maintain Port Assets

NIEUWEGEIN, NETHERLANDS - 12 Dec 2006: MRO Software, an IBM company (NYSE: IBM), today announced that the Antwerp Port Authority has chosen IBM's Maximo asset management software to manage its operating assets in the port of Antwerp. The contract was awarded after an extensive tender procedure.

The Maximo solution is part of the portfolio of solutions from MRO Software, which IBM acquired in October 2006, and is now part of IBM's Tivoli software unit.

Maximo will support the organisation in the overall maintenance and technical management of all operating assets, including tugs and dredgers, cranes, buildings, bridges, locks, docks, roads and the electricity distribution network. More than 750 employees will eventually have access to the solution, which will support all Maintenance Management processes. The solution covers work order and data management, planning, budgeting, reporting, performance tracking, internal and external outsourcing, purchasing, and stock management. Some adjacent processes will also be handled by Maximo, such as the monitoring of construction and renovation projects, and recording of certain operating data and all purchase orders.
