Material Program Manager

Job Description: The Material Program Manager is primarily responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the Supply Chain from a program perspective. The MPM should have a solid understanding of the Supply Chain business processes and has the ability to influence across the business to ensure program success. This individual is the prime interface with the internal and external on status and performance and anticipates and fulfills customer needs to ensure their satisfaction and continued business. The MPM is highly skilled in providing cutting edge Supply Chain solutions, such as implementing lean supply techniques, to facilitate program cost and schedule performance. In addition, the MPM is the conduit to the supply base for engineering, finance, contracts, program leadership and other teammates to ensure proper supplier selection and performance.

Specific tasks include but are not limited to creating and managing cost and schedule for procured material using earned value management (EVMS), leading Supplier Management efforts, developing and executing the material program plan, identifying risks and opportunities, supporting product development (IPDS) gate/management reviews, and actively participating in the program integrated product team (IPT).

Required Education/Major: Bachelor's degree in business or manufacturing or equivalent experience

Basic Qualifications:

· Strong Supply Chain Management background

· At least 6 years of related experience in Materials Program Management.

· Strong written and communication skills

· Experience with project or program management

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Project

Desired Qualifications: Working knowledge of MRP tools; experience with supplier management
